It has been a little over a year since we unveiled the Powder Bandit shaped bandana with it’s unique elastic closure, and response has been overwhelmingly positive. While most people love the elastic closure, our most common request has been to add the Powder Bandit shape to our Classic Bandana line.

Today we introduce the Powder Pirate line of bandanas. The Powder Pirate combines the signature face shape from our Powder Bandit with the overall shape of the Classic Bandana. This gives you the great goggle and face fitting shape with long corners to tie behind your head. Like all our riding masks, the Powder Pirate has anti-pill fleece for long lasting comfort.

If you would prefer closing the Powder Pirate with a hook-and-loop fastener rather than tying it, you can add the new Hook-and-Loop Closure Optional Modification to your order. The Cold Air Intake mesh breather is also available on the Powder Pirate.

Just in time for the release of our new “March Madness” mesh bandana, Colorado got hit with an epic winter storm, and it was back to the normal fleece Powder Bandits today. With two feet of snow we couldn’t help but get out and play in the soft fluffy powder, and we took a couple photos for you as well.

Early product testing phase, cold snowy day at Steamboat

The new site has been up for almost a month and it’s time for our first contest.

If you already have a F2O Powder Bandit:

Take a photo of you wearing your Powder Bandit outside. Doesn’t matter what you’re doing, as long as you’re doing something outside.

If you don’t have a F2O Powder Bandit yet:

Take a photo while doing something outside, and let us know why what you’re doing would be benefited by one of our fleece-lined or mesh riding masks.

We’ll be looking for creative photos and stories, and a couple of lucky winners will receive their choice of a free bandana from our store. Everyone who submits a photo will get something though, from discount codes to random swag and stickers in the mail.

March Madness mesh Powder Bandit for spring riding

With the warm temperatures and beating hot sun of spring riding conditions in full effect, our latest Powder Bandit is ready for prime time. The “March Madness” bandana takes it’s styling from a pair of comfortable basketball shorts with a colorful mesh outer, and forgoes our regular fleece lining in favor of a soft micro-mesh. This ultra breathable bandana lets you rock the Powder Bandit style and keeps your face out of the hot spring sun, but it won’t make you overheat. March Madness is currently available in blue, green, and red, and features all of the regular Powder Bandit goodies, like the fitted nose and the spandex closure, but it’s a little more suited to spring riding than cold winter days.

Six new bandana designs

Winter may be wrapping up, but that doesn’t reduce the awesomeness of these six new fleece-lined riding masks. Our riding masks may look like the bandanas you see tied around the necks of snowboarders, skiers, bikers, and bank robbers, but they’re much, much better. We seek out cool and distinctive cloth patterns for our masks, cut them to a shape that fits under goggles, line it with premium anti-pill fleece, and finish it off with a spandex closure (so you don’t have to mess with knots or velcro). Basically, they’re the best thing ever.
